In 1974, it was created as a nonprofit institution, being in charge the Dominican writer Freddy Ginebra.

In its beginnings, a group of young actors were looking for a way to do independent and innovative theater. Little by little and project after project, this House become the cultural center, raising the largest amount of funds for extraordinary ideas.

In this old Colonial house are hosted artists of every kind: musicians, actors, dancers, photographers, singers, and many more.

Thus, this space firstly designed only for theater representations has started to change over the years into a dance school, photography group, children and adults school, jazz club, puppet theater, conferences center, theater group's training, painting gallery or rehearsal room, among many others. Some of the multiple activities organized by the Theater House are contests of novels, tales, photography, etc.

It is also the place where some of the most important  jazz concerts in the city are organized, and where new and renowned artists show their works.

Visit one of the places where people work hard to promote contemporary culture in any branch of art.
