Located in Las Damas street and in front of the Royal Houses, it is a private chapel belonging to the Dávila family.

Built in the 16th century in Mudejar style, it was always known as “Chapel of the Dávila”. Despite that, the owners changed over and over again until certain moment after 1886, when it became “Los Remedios Chapel” in honor of the Virgin of Los Remedios, whose statue dominates the altar of the Chapel.

In spite of the fact that nowadays it is usually closed and it only opens from time to time for some cultural activities, the chapel is still part of the rich Colonial history of all the area, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

This is why you shouldn’t miss the chance to visit it and admire the amazing facade of the chapel, maybe even finding the perfect moment to visit its interior, where you’ll also discover that it was used as a burial place for several relevant personalities of the time, which was a quite usual function for the many of the chapels at that moment.
