Discover Laguna Gri-Gri, nature-lovers and tropical-bird-watchers’ paradise. It gets its name from the area’s abundant presence of the Gri-Gri tree. The dense mangrove forest that surrounds and separates it from Corpses and Los Minos beaches houses the Bird Sanctuary, where thousands of birds live.

Before 1958, the lagoon was just a natural spring that communicated with the sea through a brook, but after an earthquake, the subterranean water emerged and Gri-Gri Lagoon was created.

Every day, some guided tours (30 minutes’ long each) start at the lagoon; these tours lead the tourists through a natural channel to arrive at the sea, to Caletón Beach. During the walk, you can have a refreshing bath in a pond and visit the swallows’ cave, where thousands of birds nest every year. These tours are done in a boat, some of them with a crystal floor that allows people to admire every single wonder that these waters offer.
